Swimming pool repairs and maintenance
Our pool work started with a call for help from one of Cornwall’s larger outdoor pools. Now we look after pumps, filters and plant rooms for private, holiday-let and holiday-park pools.

PPOPool Plant Operator qualified
Pool work we take on
- Pool pumps replaced, including on sand-filter set-ups.
- Low flow: blocked strainers, a sand filter that needs backwashing, or a multiport valve playing up.
- Leaks we can reach: in the plant room, the fittings and the pipework you can get to.
- Water balance and chemical dosing checked and put right.
- A clean-up after a pool has been left unused.
- Plant room checks, and regular care for private and holiday-let pools.

What we don’t do
We don’t build or refit pools, and we don’t dig up buried pipework to find a leak. Those are jobs for a specialist pool firm.
We can still help. We’ll look at the pool, tell you honestly what we think is wrong, and help you find a specialist if you need one.
Pools at holiday parks
At one holiday park we cover the pool when the manager is away: the chemicals, the day tank, a check after storms, and getting the pool ready to open for half-term.
If guests or the public use your pool, the pool’s safety stays your responsibility. Our visits and records help you meet your duties; you remain the duty holder. We never name the businesses we work for.

Is it really a leak?
Pools lose some water to evaporation, especially in warm, windy weather. A bucket test tells you whether it’s more than that.
- Stand a bucket on the pool step and fill it to the same level as the pool.
- Mark the water level inside the bucket and on the pool.
- Leave it for a day, with the pump running as normal.
- If the pool has dropped more than the bucket, you probably have a leak.
Send us the result with a photo of the plant room and we’ll tell you what we think.
