Bodmin and around

Bodmin is about an hour from our base, up the A30. Bodmin itself and the villages listed below are charged the same as everywhere else in our area.

Not sure whether your address is inside the area? Send us your postcode and we’ll tell you before anything is booked.

Cold nights

On the moor side

Villages up towards Bodmin Moor often get colder nights than the coast. A tub that’s switched off or loses power in a cold snap can freeze in the pipes, and that damage can be costly.

If yours has stopped heating, read hot tub not heating. If the power keeps tripping, see hot tub tripping the electrics. In winter, both are worth a call straight away.

A service before winter is a good time to catch worn seals and tired pumps. If you let a cottage or lodge with a tub, see holiday-let hot tub care.

If it’s freezing and the tub is off

  • Keep the cover on.
  • Don’t keep resetting the breaker, or try to force the pumps to run.
  • Ring us, and tell us how long it’s been off.

Questions

Bodmin questions

How soon can you get to Bodmin?

As soon as we can, usually within 3 to 5 days.

The tub’s frozen. What should we do?

Don’t keep resetting it or trying to force the pumps to run. Keep the cover on and ring us. Once it’s thawed, we can check for split pipework and leaks.

Is Lanivet in your area?

Yes, along with Nanstallon, Lanhydrock and the other villages listed above.

We’re north of Bodmin. Can you still come?

Ask us. Places beyond Bodmin are outside our standard area, so there’s a mileage charge. We’ll tell you what it is before we book.
