Hot Tub Repair Man was set up by Jon Pennington, who has been working on hot tubs since 2002. Jon has run the business from Tuckingmill, Camborne, since 2007, and he still does the work himself, with help on the bigger jobs.

Jon started out in 2002 working with Hot Spring Spas, and later with Hydropool. Hot Spring sent him to their factory in California for training. Between the two, he learned every side of the job: pumps, heaters, control systems, plumbing and electrical faults.
In 2007, he went self-employed and set up Hot Tub Repair Man. The idea was simple. Owners needed someone independent, not tied to one manufacturer, who could work on the many makes sold in the UK.
A hot tub is pumps, heaters, plumbing and electrics, all sat outside in the wet. These are the qualifications behind the work.

A clean shell and clear water are only part of looking after a hot tub.
On a service we check the pumps and heater are working as they should, the electrical connections are secure, and the breaker and isolator are doing their job.

Hot tubs are still most of what we do. Over the years the work has grown to take in swim spas, swimming pools and the plant rooms that run them. We work for homeowners, holiday lets and businesses.
Most of the tubs we see are outdoors all year, and plenty of them sit close to the sea, so salt air and wet winters take their toll on cabinets, covers and electrics. Holiday-let tubs also get far more use than a family tub at home. Older tubs are a big part of the job too, where parts aren’t always easy to find.

You’ll often see a big blue bag in our photos. It’s our holding bag. On a repair, we pump your warm water into it and put it back once the job’s done, so you’re not waiting days for a refill to heat up. On a service, it holds fresh water ready to go back in at the end.
There’s no call centre and no sales team.
If a fix isn’t worth paying for, you’ll hear it from us.
Our work is guaranteed for 12 months.

Tell us what you’ve got and what’s wrong, and we’ll take it from there.
If your tub is sunk into decking or the ground, or set against a wall, it helps to mention it when you book. If you’re not sure, a photo is fine.
